The Closing Ceremony of the activities of the Arabic Language for the Public courses at Al-Madinah International University

In light of the importance of learning Arabic and the urgent need to spread it inside and outside the Islamic world, the Center of Preparatory Studies and Languages ​​at Al-Madinah International University organized Arabic language courses for the public. Different Malaysians joined the classes starting from February 1 to March 15, 2020 and attended the closing ceremony held at the university’s main campus on Sunday 15 March 2020.

During the ceremony, certificates were distributed to the participants of different ages, in the presence of the Dean of the Center of Preparatory Studies and Languages, ​​His Excellency Prof. Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega, and the acting Deputy CEO for the Academic Affairs, his Excellency Assistant Professor Dr. Al-Tayeb Al-Mabrouki. Appreciation certificates were also given to the teachers who made every effort to teach.

In his opening speech, the Dean of the Center, Prof. Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega, welcomed the attendants, then thanked the university administration for its efforts in disseminating religious and modern sciences with contemporary technologies in on-campus and on-line education modes. He also thanked the university administration for its concern in the Arabic language and spreading it in the world and its continuous support for the various activities of the center for The center has achieved its noble goals. Finally, he commended the students’ efforts and their keen interest in learning the Arabic language, which is considered one of the international languages, and is fit for religion and life.

The Acting Deputy CEO for the Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Al-Tayeb Al-Mabrouki thanked the management of the Center for its appreciated efforts in organizing such valuable and useful courses that are in line with the university’s aims to provide different and distinguished services to the Malaysian and international community. He also emphasized the importance of the Arabic language in the modern era, and urged students to make more efforts to continue their studies and learn this language in its advanced stages.

One of the objectives of this course is to provide the participants with some basic Arabic vocabularies and use them to form useful sentences in an easy way, making use of the vocabulary that they studied. Also, they can develop their ability to use the four Arabic language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. In addition, they can learn about the Arab culture. Many entertainment programs and useful extracurricular activities have been used to help students understand better, remove the barriers that may inhibit them from learning, and use the methods and means that make the participants love the Arabic language.

At the end of the course, the participants learnt at least 500 Arabic vocabularies and studied the grammar of the Arabic language, which can be used in different situations, through basic Arabic language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

At the end of the ceremony, memorial photos were taken on this occasion for the lecturers and participants, with His Excellency Assistant Professor Dr. Al-Mabrouki, and Prof. Dr. Daud Elega.

It is worth noting that the Center for Preparatory Studies and Languages ​​has various educational programs, including short Arabic courses and English language courses where the two languages ​​are learned from the foundation to the advanced level, the center also provides the introductory program in the Arabic language and Islamic sciences, then the Arabic language courses for the general, and its teachers teach Compulsory subjects imposed by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education for local and international students, English materials for students of different colleges in the university, in addition to the English language qualification program and other programs Modern science.
